One more thing to add to our plate... and hopefully yours!

While scrolling through the recipes on Pinterest, yet again, I was faced with an age old dilemma.  What to make for dinner?  I was overwhelmed by the tasty options I had before me, and yet still felt uninspired by the culinary rut I found myself in.  It became painfully obvious that I needed to mix things up a bit.  Then BOOM!  An idea came to me with all the excitement and clarity of seeing the $4 wine display at the grocery store.  And although it seemed simple, I needed a partner.  Who better to ask to join me on this culinary adventure than my mom?

Each week we will attempt to cook a new (to us) recipe, take some photos along the way, dig in, and then share the experience and suggestions with all of you.  Rather than read about one cook's perspective, you will get two!  My mom and I are both the executive chefs in our own kitchens.  We each have our own culinary strengths, as well as cooking and eating preferences.  The goals here are simple.  Take every day people with busy lives, mix-in some realistic recipes, learn something new in the kitchen, and share it with you.  We hope you will join us on our little foodie adventure!

Oh, one final note... Pescetarians, beware!  This may not be the blog for you.  As much as we wish we loved to eat all creatures that once lived in lakes, rivers, and the sea, we simply do not.  Take it from us, this is not always well received while living in New England where seafood is king!  But hey, if you can't be yourself on your own blog, where can you?
